The Government of India (GOI) released a draft concept paper on 'India Digital Ecosystem for Agriculture' (IDEA) last year inviting feedback. At the same time, GOI has also signed MoUs with ten companies to develop proofs of concepts towards an 'AgriStack'. The Union Budget announced in the recent budget session of Parliament also highlighted the government's continued thrust towards greater digitalisation.
In light of these developments, an event was organised with speakers from government, industry and civil society to have a conversation between different stakeholders. This trialogue was a step towards building a better common understanding on issues around digitalisation in agriculture.
